What exactly will I be doing as a member of Community Brigades?

 

As a member of Community Brigades, you will be visiting a high school in the Los Angeles area on a regular basis. You will meet with a group of students, help them identify a problem that they see in their community and plan an event that addresses this issue. Events will range from garden days, beach clean ups, health fairs and more. Because of the variety of events that Community Brigades will pursue, this organization welcomes and appreciates all majors!

 

How Can I Become Involved in Community Brigades?

 

If you are interested in joining our team, please email us at communitybrigades.ucla@gmail.com. We would be happy to send you an application and can answer any questions that you may have! We are looking for new members for Fall 2016.

 

Where does Community Brigades travel?

 

Community Brigades visits high schools in the LA area. In the past, we have visited El Sereno High School in East Los Angeles. We are looking to set up our next program in Santa Monica. Our garden days are similarly in the Los Angeles area. 

 

What is the time commitment for Community Brigades?

 

The time commitment for Community Brigades varies by quarter. To learn about the time commitments for the upcoming quarter, please email communitybrigades.ucla@gmail.com. We are extremely flexible with your schedule and we can work together so you can make the most of your time with us!
